The Steck 17100 Hatch Jammer is an adjustable prop tool designed for auto body shops, collision repair, towing, and DIY vehicle maintenance. It securely holds liftgates or hatches in partial or full open positions for hands-free access during paintless dent repair (PDR), sanding, painting, buffing, or strut work—enhancing visibility and reducing back strain. Features a J-hook that latches onto the striker plate and a larger loop that locks into the door latch, with an 11-1/2" slide bar extending up to 24" for precise angle adjustments secured by two knobs. Padded ends protect paint; saves up to 10 minutes per setup. Compatible with the Hatch Jammer XL Xtension Tube (PN 17200) for extended reach on larger vehicles.
